Class Action Employment Cases

Class Action Employment Cases

Mr. Schaner has extensive experience litigating class action employment cases, including his defense of a class action lawsuit in which the plaintiffs sought $30 million in damages. The Dallas County jury concluded that the defendant owed nothing to the class plaintiffs. Moreover, Mr. Schaner has obtained summary judgments for his clients in several class action employment discrimination cases. His experience includes cases under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act (Title VII), the FLSA, and the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN). Mr. Schaner represents numerous plaintiffs/former employees under the WARN Act based on the employer’s failure to give the employees the proper 60-days advance notice of their layoff.
