Social Media and NRLA

Mr. Schaner provides advice and counsel concerning the National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB) enforcement of the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) covering the conduct of private employers. This includes the legal implications of the NLRA and other labor laws, including union elections and investigations of unfair labor practice charges filed by and against employers, unions and individual employees. Schaner also conducts training sessions to employers to avoid attempted unionization of employees, or, in the alternative, how to promptly identify a union organizing campaign and respond in a lawful, effective manner. Finally, the proliferation of social media has forced businesses to develop and implement effective Internet, e-mail monitoring, and social media enforcement policies as a way to protect corporate image standards and police employee online activities. Schaner provides legal advice to avoid violations of the NLRA and other labor and employment laws.
